Vegetable Seeds

Pepper

Pepper is a tender crop and does not withstand frost or cold weather. Usually the seed is sown in cold frames, in window boxes or greenhouses 4 to 6 weeks after planting. After the danger of frost is over, plants are set out in the garden, spacing about 18-20" apart in a row. Dates indicated refer to the period from setting out plants to the production of green peppers for the table or market.
